Japanese Tokoname cultivation pot for bonsai 17,0x7,8 cm (TC5,5)
JAPANESE CULTIVATION TOKONAME POT FOR BONSAI 17.0x7.8 cm (TC5.5).
Tokoname cultivation vase 17.0x7.8 cm (external size) (TC5.5), Japanese original. The pot has a large central drainage hole and 2 or 4 perimeter holes useful for the passage of the wire for fixing the plant or for pulling on the branches. Tokoname pots are the best supports for the cultivation of bonsai and pre-bonsai in formation. They are built with a particular very porous clay mixture that allows the root system to be sufficiently ventilated and to drain the part of excess liquid. The low height of the pot allows for easy transplantation into the subsequent definitive pot which usually consists of ceramic stoneware.
The indicated measurements are external (in cm), the thickness of the walls of the vases varies from a minimum of a few millimeters in the smaller models to a maximum of 1 centimeter in the larger models.
