Kaolin Bioagrotech, enhancer of plant defenses, is a natural mineral (phyllosilicate) composed mainly of kaolinite (over 90%) which improves the resistance of plants to biotic stress, such as those caused by the olive fly, and abiotic, represented by stress heat and excessive transpiration of the green parts.

Thanks to its physical characteristics including white color and high particle size (D50 < 2 microns), kaolin is suitable for countless uses in organic and conventional agriculture. Chemically inert, it constitutes an effective form of prevention towards numerous agronomic problems with total respect for the environment and animal health, being free from polluting elements.

EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST ABIOTIC STRESS

Thanks to its physical characteristics, in particular its bright white colour, it allows to reduce thermal stress and excessive radiation by reflecting part of the electromagnetic waves (ultraviolet, infrared) which can cause sunburn on leaves and fruit but allowing most of the radiation to pass through. photosynthetically active (PAR). In fact, the uniform coverage of the material allows the surface temperature of the non-lignified organs to be reduced (up to 5-6 °C), this allows the rate of transpiration to be reduced, saving water for the crops. Finally, it allows for uniform ripening of the fruit and to contain the excessive alcohol content in wine grapes in particularly hot and dry years.

EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST BIOTIC STRESSES

Kaolin Bioagrotech is effective in protecting against the olive fly (Bactrocera oleae). A good
preventive coverage in fact hinders the (visual/olfactory) recognition of the plants by the plant
female and makes the drupes less subject to oviposition.

TREATMENT - DOSES - APPLICATION

Vine - 18-24 kg/ha per application with a water volume of at least 400 l/ha - Every 10-15 days from the beginning of July to the beginning of veraison;

Olive - 30-40 kg/ha per application with a water volume of at least 800-1000 l/ha - 3-4 applications from June every 3-4 weeks;

Herbaceous Horticultural - Min. 10 kg/ha per application with water volume of at least 600-800 l/ha - 1-2 applications depending on the crop;

In water: 3-6 kg/hl depending on the crop and vegetative development.
