Carbonate sand (also called granite) obtained from the natural weathering of rocks with a high content of calcium carbonate (CaCO ₃ ), by rolling pebbles in the rivers of the province of Reggio Emilia.

FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FIELDS OF USE

Carbonate sand, ideal for:

? fill jars or containers as a support for flower pots;

? draining substrates of vases or jars where it is necessary to weigh down these supports to make them more stable;

? mixed with the soil to provide the right quantity of calcium carbonate to the plants that need this element;

? in the construction field, mixed with cement to build cement mortars of all types.
