CALCE MAGNESIAC is formed by Ca and Mg oxide in the right proportions that can be used by plants; it is used for various applications: for the correction of acid soils, to prevent and treat physiopathies caused by calcium deficiency (apical rot, bitter pit, rachis desiccation), to protect branches and trunks, as a neutralizer in the preparation of Bordeaux mixture, etc.
Calcium and Magnesium are two fundamental elements for the plant, as the former strengthens the cell walls while Magnesium, being a component of chlorophyll, is essential for the green color of plant tissues. The magnesium deficiency in fact causes serious yellowing of the leaves, starting from the outer margin, and drastically decreases the productions.

MEDIUM CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

Total Calcium Oxide (CaO): 38%;

Total Magnesium Oxide (MgO): 12%;

Grain size class: Powdery product.

DOSES AND METHOD OF USE

Horticulture and Ornamental: the ideal period for the distribution of the product is in autumn after the tillage. In case of autumn manure it is advisable to postpone the distribution to the end of February.

Composting: distribute 1 kg of product for every m3 of compost or manure, to favor correct fermentation.

Brushing fruit plants: mix 500 g of product in 4 liters of water and then brush the trunk completely from the base. The magnesium lime reflects the light and thus prevents burns.

Preparation of the Bordeaux mixture: mixing in variable proportions, depending on the type of application chosen, copper sulphate (snow) and magnesium slaked lime.

RAW MATERIAL

Quick lime hydrates.
