TUFF 0/2 mm (500 Kg).

Neapolitan yellow tuff is a pyroclastic rock characterized by a prevalence of ashes of various granulometry, with inclusions of pumice and lava fragments, deriving from explosive eruptions of different volcanic centres, which occurred in the Campi Flegrei caldera between 12,000 and 10,000 years does. It has a straw yellow color, scratchable with the nail and with typical characteristics of a good building stone, furthermore, being mainly made up of aluminum, potassium, calcium and magnesium oxides, it does not undergo chemical processes of oxidation or hydration .
The physical and mechanical characteristics are highly variable from place to place and even in the same locality. Commercial denomination Neapolitan yellow tufo for the load-bearing walls
Geological classification Vulcanoclastite connected to an eruptive episode that occurred in the Campi Flegrei about 12,000 years from the present, consisting of pumice and fragments of obsidian, lithics and crystals immersed in a deeply altered ash matrix with the formation of zeolites and subordinately clayey materials.

FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FIELDS OF USE

Lightweight natural aggregate, ideal for:

? rooting substrate (sowing, cuttings, transplants, soilless crops and hydroculture);

? preparation of universal soils;

? preparation of specific soils (annual plants, acidophilic plants, succulents, houseplants, lawns?);

? preparation of professional soils for outdoor horticulture and for protected crops;

? land amendment;

? hydroculture;

? drainages;

? support surface for vases;

? thermal insulation.

NB: INFORMATION ON THE PACKAGING AND THE QUANTITY OF MATERIAL

It should be noted that the aggregate is packaged by the manufacturer in big bags (big bags) which can vary in shape, type and color depending on market availability (therefore the photograph of the big bag is entirely indicative: it is only the container of the material ). The aforementioned big bags contain material whose weight varies according to the humidity contained (due to the climatic conditions during extraction inside the quarry) and according to the specific weight of the material itself (which varies according to the extraction point inside the quarry). inside the quarry: the material, being of natural origin, has chemical-physical characteristics which may vary slightly during the geological period of formation). For this reason, there may be small variations in weight (both by default and by excess) due to the reasons listed; Geosism & Nature sas is not responsible for such variations which are exclusively attributable to the manufacturer.

NB: MATERIAL AVAILABILITY

The material is subject to availability, it is usually taken directly from the manufacturer in the quarry and shipped to the customer in order to always have a clean product in excellent condition. We therefore ask our kind customers to check availability and delivery times by contacting Geosism & Nature sas
